Donors Choose Great Project to raise $800/for tablets & cases

Dear Parents,
Hi, my name is Mr. Smithen, I would like to share some exciting news with you! I have created a Donors Choose grant project in order to raise $800 to purchase ten tablets and protective cases for my students. Throughout the day students use classroom computers on a daily basis as technology is fully integrated in our Grade 4 math curriculum. The use of technology in the classroom encourages progression in students' grades and increases their confidence with math and their overall conceptual understanding of our lessons. When students break out into small groups to work on ST Math and other math programs, they look forward to using the computers. However there are times when they are not fully operational or there are not enough for each student to utilize. Obtaining new tablets and protection will allow an opportunity for each student to thoroughly engage in lessons.
Donors Choose is a grant project website that allows individuals to create fundraising campaigns. Once campaigns are posted online, funders are able to go and view all campaigns and contribute financial assistance to the projects they choose to support. We need your help in encouraging sponsors to support our project. Please share the link below with family and friends so that we can reach our goal and provide new classroom technology for our scholars!

Thank you for your continued support of your scholars and our classroom. On behalf of our class, and Leckie Elementary, we sincerely appreciate all of your support.

Best,
Mr. Smithen
